How We Are Funded

Our Supervised Contact Service is funded through a contract with the local authority. This is a statutory service and all operating costs are covered by the contract. Donated toys and games are used in our family contact rooms and Volunteers have worked hard to help improve our family garden space.

Our Family Support Service is an entirely charitable service. It is funded using; money from the National Lottery, support from a number of smaller grants, donations, and our fundraising events and activities.

Our Mentoring Service is also a charitable service. It is currently partly funded by a local authority contract, and is also supported by a number of smaller grants, donations, and our fundraising efforts.

We also coordinate an annual Christmas gift appeal and an Easter Egg appeal, where donated gifts and chocolate are distributed to the children we support.

In 2018, 10% of our income was generated through a wide range of organised fundraising activities and around 4% from direct donations from individual supporters and local Derby organisations.

In 2019, 4% of our income was generated through a wide range of organised fundraising activities and around 8% from direct donations from individual supporters and local Derby organisations.
